13. My dad died in 1982

Heart attack triggered by an asthma attack.

He was 48 years old when I was born. He had two postgraduate degrees and was very smart, but he was also an alcoholic who was very bigoted. Most people who didnít know him real well thought he was a swell guy, and at times he could be witty and charming. We were not that close. I am glad I did not carry on with his beliefs.
