War movies. Westerns, anything with Steven Segal/Charles Bronson/Chuck Norris, and last but not least, John Wayne. Also, movies with violent revenge themes.

I like movies with uplifting themes, biographies, and historical dramas. I like movies that educate and provide some sort of intellectual challenge.

We do like to watch animal themed movies together, but our taste and interest in types of movies is very different.
I commiserate.
