I would call him out for not respecting his girlfriend's mother in her own home. You have the right to set the boundaries in your home and if he doesn't respect family then he's deplorable beyond his politics and your daughter will hopefully see it then.

Your boundaries can include

1) Respect of your traditions and beliefs, which appear to include conserving and caring for the earth through cycling.

2) Being respectful of others regardless of their race.

3) Being respectful of persons immigrating into our country.

Don't give him an emotional reaction though. That's what he's hunting for.
