3. Bagpipes tunes

I have made it clear to those that will inevitably make the decision- “O’Sullivan’s March” is the tune for me. It’s about 1000 men, women and children fleeing the invading English soldiers from Southwest Ireland to the north east in the early 17th century (much like the Russians ruthlessly marauding Ukraine presently). “The Minstrel Boy” , the most popular of St Pat’s day tunes is a must, and “Scotland the Brave” and “Over the Sea to Skye” have to be included, but absolutely not “AmazingGrace” for me[no offense intended to those that like the song]. The number 16 single on the UK charts in February 1972 was “ Give Ireland Back to the Irish” by Paul McCartney. It may have been banned from airplay eventually. I’d enjoy Dougie MacClean’s “Caledonia” as well.
