3. The coming home (another email message)

SHE CAME BACK THIS MORNING. I ran to get her food, but she seemed more interested in being petted. I petted her for a long time. I am going to start talking to her more.

I ran into another friend walking her dog this morning. I kept telling her about the Carmel-colored cat. She said that cat lived up at the end of the street and "stalked" her dog. Her dog is a big boxer. The cat catches up with them on walks and tries to swat and hit at Brandi. I thought her use of the word "stalk" was interesting. That is the way the carmel-colored cat and the black cat make me feel.

Thank you for your words which helped me get thru the night. I am now braced for the fact that this might happen again and I will be better prepared. I do think after I have her spayed at the end of the month, there will be less traffic around her.
