I know music is subjective but it's hard for me to believe that anyone could dismiss this amazingly crafted ballad as this Lennon-McCartney composition is and call it the work of "hacks". Maybe if you're accustomed to the musical tradition on the planet Mars I can understand. But if you are a member of western society and have grown up in its musical traditions, there are certain objective standards of quality and most Beatles compositions are representative of that. The Beatles are the first group, right from the start, that had hit 45 after hit 45 where BOTH A and B sides were terrific songs.
