My grandmother was in Florence, between Phoenix and Tucson, so we went north to Flagstaff and south to the Grand Canyon and crossed the border into Mexico. Mexico wasn't a whole lot of fun; I was only in my mid teens and my father made me carry bottles of gin back with me, LOL. But the Grand Canyon was spectacular! And her neighbor would take us out on the desert on his ATV. It was quite a memorable trip!
