My SO ended up supporting his ex's three adult children AND their spouses AND three grandchildren to boot. Not to mention their 5 dogs. All under the same roof no less. This was the thanks he got for raising another man's children for over two decades. The youngest is in his mid 30's, the oldest over 40.

He left her two years ago once he finally realized the deadbeats meant more to her than her marriage.

The happy ending was for me (with three lovely self sufficient daughters) who ended up with a loyal, caring partner. So did he.
