7. Where I grew up we had rainstorms every afternoon

I grew up in Central Florida, right in the middle of the state. During the summer thunderstorms would form up along the west coast, move eastward and get to us mid-afternoon about 3-4 PM just in time to cool things off. It made life bearable!

The humidity didn't bother us because we were used to it. In fact, we'd complain about going places with AC because it was always too cold and dry. I seldom spent time in AC until I went to college.

Here in Tallahassee, the summers tend to be hotter and thunderstorms are not as predictable, never were even when I first moved here in 1972. Most of the time since I moved here I have lived with AC. I think it's ruined me, LOL!
