The western movie market lacks a big-name Asian actress to open a major blockbuster in the US, so they don't cast Asian women to headline blockbuster roles.

Therefore, the next time around, there's no big-name Asian actress to open a major blockbuster, so...

Other than a break-out star popping up out of nowhere, I don't know how this might readily be changed, except incrementally.
