I supported the party critically because it had a lot of working class backing, BUT..... I knew that they would wind up betraying the workers and the people of Greece for one simple reason: THEY TRIED TO WORK WITH THE CAPITALISTS INSTEAD OF REPLACING THEM. Betrayal is what reformers ALWAYS do and SYRIZA was always a reformist coalition.

Edited to add: Even the Left Platform of SYRIZA is Menshevik. Even they are not calling for a break with the bourgeoisie. It's going to take a lot more than just trying to "reform" the beast that is capitalism.
