I always know where I am at in reference to Mt. Rainier. I thought it was just me that did that! If I get disoriented all I need to do is look around and find it and everything is all right again. What is odd now that I think of it, is that while going to college up in Bellingham I never had the same sub-conscious connection with nearby Mt. Baker! That said, I suspect I could still be blindfolded and taken anywhere in this state that had a view of one or more of our mountains and be able to figure out where I am at more or less. I am not sure I would like Kansas so much, it sounds disorienting.
