If you are a professional that uses the application constantly, then there might be an advantage. I might go months without using it, but I’m still paying for it unless I remember to cancel. With photoshop I would go many years between updates. Perhaps I’m just old school, but when I pay for a piece of software, I expect to be able to keep it.
