12. Mt Lemmon here at Tucson is usually about 30 degrees cooler than rhe desert.

My favorite half-day trip on my motorcycle would be to the top of Mt Lemmon
for a piece of pie and then home.

During the fall months (before they shut the road other than to residents), I
NEVER failed to forget my gloves and would spend the last few miles of the
trip riding one-handed -- alternating my hands between my legs to guard
against frostbite.

That's my story and I'm, um... sticking to it.

.
OH!!! Riding through the White Mountains in my car on vacation inspired
me to give up my 35-year boycott on riding (due to a horrendous accident).
.
That road reminded me of the joy of riding -- I went out and bought a Honda
Shadow Spirit 1100cc the day after I got back.
