Showing vaccination undoubtedly worthwhile. Healthcare workers testing positive prior to vaccinations at 0.41 percent decreased to 0.05 percent after the 2 dose regimens. More importantly, those of the second group who tested positive showed far less severe symptoms, none of which required hospitalization.
Personally I'm probably about as fully armored as one gets. I suffered the COVID shortly after a patient contact, the patient didn't make it, both the nurse and I got sick the weekend after this happened in January of 2020. Counts hadn't even begun. It was in retrospect testing we discovered what it was. So my first vaccination was the rough one, the day after felt yucky and spiked a mild fever. Second dose I got some chills and went to bed the evening after, fine the next day. The nurse who also contracted it retired, she'd had enough.
Low positivity rates of healthcare workers overall are due to universal MASKING and other precautions.
