But I will add that I know from personal experience that hospice is amazing.

Every so often I come across someone who rejects hospice, thinking it is somehow wrong. But they are wrong. People on hospice live longer than those on conventional care. Even palliative care, which is quite different from hospice, results in longer life and better quality of life. Hmmm. Maybe trying to extend life as long as possible really isn't the right way to go.
