9. Upper Michigan results

Last I read, (D) McDowell's campaign has said he's not ready to concede the race for !st Congressional District until discrepancies in vote reporting have been investigated and absentee ballots are counted. He's currently about 2500 votes below incumbent (R) Benishek.

In the state 110th House district contest, (D) Scott Dianda has defeated incumbent (R) Matt Huuki. In the 109th state House district, (D) John Kivela won the open seat. In the 108th state House district, incumbent (R) Ed McBroom won re-election.

Overall, as far as the state House seats are concerned, Dems made a good showing even though failing to get back the 108th seat which was lost in 2010. The open 109th seat was held and the 110th was regained.

Upper Michigan has one state Senator and he was not up for re-election this year.
