Former Speaker Boehner joins fight to save pensions for 1.3 million retirees

I was taunting a right-wing friend with that. He's retiring early from his state job to lock in his benefits. I told him all they have to do is say "we're broke, the money isn't there", and in our state, Idaho, there will be cutbacks. There is no such thing as "locked in". He didn't like to hear that, but it's exactly the way he thinks when it's other peoples benefits.
