3. Please correct this if I'm wrong

In order to vote in the PA primary, it's necessary to register as a member of either the Democratic or Republican party. If you want to vote in the Democratic primary you must be a registered Democrat. Same is true for the GOP - so it's one or the other.

You may also decline both parties and remain independent, in which case you can vote in the November General Election only.

Regardless of how you voted in the Spring primary, you may vote for ANY candidates in the fall general election.
