1. Georgetown is an interesting place politically.

It's a combination of old-school conservatives who've been there for a zillion years and an influx of moderates and liberals from other parts of the Austin metro. It's decidedly purple, but the pro-statue faction is very entrenched and has thus far been successful in defending it. This could be the beginning of the end, however. Let's hope.
