...is to have a second referendum with the option to rescind Article 50 and remain in the European Union.

The way that Theresa May and company have handled this has been about as bad as could possibly be imagined. Triggering Article 50 without proper preparation or due diligence, Wasting time on a needless general election, which backfired due to a terrible Tory election campaign, putting ridiculous and impractical red lines into the negotiation, allowing the DUP to have the whip hand over the whole affair and worst of all IMHO failing to stand up to the fantasist wing of the Brexshitters.
