1. I think assuming Democrats hold onto MN next year is a bit overoptimistic...

Minnesota hasn't been the old-time Humphrey/Mondale liberal stronghold for many election cycles now. Demographically, it's between the former reliable-Democratic states of Michigan and Wisconsin, and we've all seen what's happened to them in the past decade or so (not just Trump, but the election and re-election of both Walker and Snyder). The seat was probably safe in 2020 because of Franken's popularity there, but, without him, I'd rate it a toss-up.
