3. Larry Hogan running for the US Senate is no big deal.

MD is more partisan in US Senate Races the Governor's Races.
Van Hollen won the 2016 US Senate Race by a 25 percent margin.
Hogan-R will lose to Van Hollen-D by a double digit margin.

I would be more concerned about Phil Scott-R dropping out of the 2022 VT Governors Race to replace Leahy-D or Welch-D.
