If THAT post is what the Democratic Underground stands for, it's going to run people away from the Democratic Party. There was nothing in the post H replied to that warranted such a vile post.

There is no reason for a homophobic posts like this, with a touch of beastiallity included, to be on a 'liberal' discussion board as DU claims to be.

Yet this is what the majority of DUers term as acceptable discourse? What does this have to do with political discussion? How can Democrats discuss issues that matter to the nation with this kind of post being allowed to stand?

Sadly, my vote to leave this, a common but unfortunate comment by one poster to another, means nothing, it will be hidden. Yet the more egregious post was allowed to represent the new face of the Democratic Party to the world.

If I did not know real life Democrats who would never attack someone for their sex life with such pejorative terms, others who are seeking to escape the insanity of the party of Cruz, Trump and the rest will not want to stand with us to defeat them.

Since Management has mainly adopted a hands-off policy (and I really don't blame them,considering the kind of community that DU is becoming) nothing will be done about the true offense of the post of which H is proud. The vote will go solely on the basis of Team A vs. Team B, or whatever this place consists of now.

I used to post a lot here, but honestly, conservative websites are less abusive than this kind of comment. I won't visit them because I cannot countenance their swill, but this place is making me lose hope that anyone can govern this nation in a just and equal manner.
