A group of anti-sex militants led by transphobes lobbying to eliminate consenting adult behavior. Not familiar at all.

"We need to reclaim feminism," said striptease dancer 'Edie'. "I think that feminism has a similar theory to radical Islam, there are a few extremists who give Muslims a bad name. It is the same with feminism. We need to stand up and say that pro-censorship, anti-sex women do not speak for all women."


I'm glad to see that the protest seems to have gotten more attention and good press than the launch, although the way some of the articles are worded bugs me a bit:

It isn't the porn stars vs. the feminists, it's the feminists vs. the anti-porn crusaders. As an ex-hooker friend of mine recently said to one of these anti-sex crusaders, "We are the radfems. You are the fundies. Stop trying to co-opt our label."
