them as Jim (large, raucous black bird) laws. One juror said he/she couldn't understand the remark, but hid it anyway. 7-0.

To this day I still employ Jim (large, raucous black bird) to describe discriminatory laws. But, that may not be as safe as it once was. Maybe Crim Jowl?
