Does a bad thing happening to person A done by person B, where person A is different in some way from person B, justify whatever fear and contempt that person A develops against the particular class of individuals of whom person B might be representative? No.

While I would have sympathy for the thing that happened to person A, I would not be able to have sympathy for person A's subsequent fear and hatred of all of class B should person A turn down that road.
