2. That's an amazing statistic.

I didn't realize to what extent there are bank failures every single year.

My ex worked for about a decade doing banking software, and while it was nice that he got every single federal holiday off, other times he worked very long hours to fix whatever. I did know from him that if a bank couldn't balance its books for something like 48 hours (someone here may know the exact time frame but it was short) it could be shut down.
