8. It's noticeable that the ranks have thinned.

It's gotten more narrow here, more adversarial. Last summer was bad, with cliques and gangs that were more us-versus-them instead of, "What does this mean?" or "Help me to understand." Or even just calls to action.

Less civil.

GD, with a lot of emotional topics with little content, seems to be okay. But fact-based and contentful posts seem down. And it was the civil, thoughtful people who tended to be heavy posters of content instead of outrage.

Don't like Discussionist. Not fond of the format. It's a road pretty much not travelled. The kind of thing that a non-poster like myself (who doesn't have the discipline or attention span to monitor the responses to a single post to a thread, much less to monitor and do upkeep on a thread) can check a couple of times a week and miss little.

Not sure where else to go. Makes me look forward to when school starts and I barely have time to eat.
