That when faced with the choices of picking anyone he wanted, he chose the (mostly) right leaning, corporatists hacks that he did, all the apologists can barely muster anything beyond the usual "And who would Romney or McCain have picked?!?!"

And don't forget his original chief of staff Mr. Anti-Teachers/Anti-Union Rahm Emmanuel.
