...'what works'. 
The problem with data is that...currently...it is flawed. At least there is a change to measure growth. That's an important change. But until the methods of collecting, analyzing and reporting data are improved, I cannot support even a FRACTION of a teacher's job performance being judged by such a flawed measure.
Teaching, as a profession, encompasses SO MUCH MORE than current 'data' can possibly show.
