can anyone explain this odd bluejay behavior? [View all]

or direct me to a bird forum--

for the last 3-4 days a couple of blue jays have been acting unusually right outside my window. (on the ground level, with a bush right outside the window where they hang out.)

In the morning for 2-3 hours they screech really loudly. (I know bluejays are loud, but this is MUCH louder than normal). They perch in the bush right outside my window, and seem to be directing their energy at me.

They fly back and forth, and generally seem very agitated. Eventually they go away, and come back the next day.
My first thot was that perhaps a squirrel had gotten their eggs, but I would not expect them to be carrying on for so long.

any idea what is roiling them so much?
