11. As a large male vegan, I have a little game I play in those situations.

I ask the offended party a series of questions about their dietary habits that leads to a final conclusion -- they eat meat because they can, because the creatures they consume can't defend themselves.

So, it's all about dominance. At that point I lean forward a little and ask the closer -- 'so, if it's all about the ability to dominate, does that mean I can eat you if I can dominate you?'

Simple, personal, usually funny and well-received, and always thought-provoking.

The best part is that people stop commenting on it altogether. Nervous for some reason, especially the tastier-looking folk. You know, the marbled and well-proportioned.
