Most Jamaicans smoke weed. It’s still not technically legal. Jamaica is full of conservatives and religious fundies. Despite the image of beaches, weed and reggae. Conservative religious fundies like the one in the article probably don’t approve of weed. Having said that, the crime of buggery applies to men/men and men/women. Shows their hypocrisy when they only target gay people.
