I drank like a fish while on MDMA and I wouldn't have a hangover. The difference though is that instead of being a depressed or angry alcoholic, I had a perma-press smile and was ready to dance to some rave music.

I don't know if the study program did anything towards addressing alcoholism, but I bet that the study participants were happy as hell.
