alcohol is causing serious issues in his life and he keeps drinking that is the definition of an alcoholic.

I am so sorry. Call that AA affiliated group for the families of alcoholics. Maybe one of them can drive you to the exam.

Call an abuse hotline.

And keep in touch at DU.

Don't be alone on this tough journey.
