i think many mentally ill people, especially those with depression, find safe places online, or get caught up in bullshit online that a healthy person just wouldn't spend the time on.
i know that is how it has flowed in my life. it has been a truly golden place to be connected when i feel the most alone. it has also sucked me into conflicts when i am at my most contentious.
it's a symptom.
