8. Start with cooked rice

Layer that rice in a lasagna pan. Add a layer of vegetables or mirapoix (you can get it all chopped at the grocery). Add a layer of cooked meat like rotisserie chicken or non-meat protein. Cover with a sauce. (Could be salsa, could be bruschetta, could be bechamel, could be cream of celery soup... your choice.) Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes at 350. It's infinitely variable, depending on the sauce-- salsa makes it Mexican-ish, etc.
