3. Back before circulators were cheap, I did it that way

I have a PID temperature controller with a thermostat and a solid state relay which can control things like a crock pot. I still use it for things like soups and stews where you canít use a circulator.

A circulator just works faster in the same way a convection oven cooks faster, but itís not essential.
