Actually the cable and many of the specialty parts can be found at yer local home depot ,hardware store what have you. With them hooks you can even tag into a curtain rod of some such thing! Here is the thing, this method is what they call art de co these days meaning very much in fashion. Been in use in construction for a long time ,example ,hanging suspended lighting from high ceiling or vault ceiling say 16 feet more or less !

I'm thinking you can have your piece hung and add to it in the same way one would buy an unframed painting than go out and find just the perfect frame. And it's fairly inexpensive to do. And thinking creatively is fun ! So have some fun !
