6. We have lots of wild stalks growing around our place. We think the seeds passed through birds.

Most of it is along fence lines, power lines and beneath trees. My niece found a wild stalk the other day that was almost 1" in diameter, yet it snapped right off when she broke it. I'm saving it for next Sunday dinner. We might feed the whole family off of that one stalk! Seriously, I'll probably slice it into half inch pieces and saute it with leeks.
