Mar 2012

it's been raining off and on for the past 5 days here in nor cal, but that didn't stop me from purchasing a new raised bed unit from costco. it was a great deal! if you're in the market for raised beds, check it out. i got two vinyl 4x4 units PLUS a clear tented frost cover (for one) for $99. i looked it up online and it retails for $189 elsewhere. that makes 4 raised beds this year. i also have some seeds started in my little walk in greenhouse. most of the peas are up.

hoping that this year will be a better one than last, which mostly sucked!

Well, here in W PA, snow has ruled today. Curmudgeoness Feb 2012 #5

Spring starts early this year. Denninmi Feb 2012 #14
I've got crocus blooming and daffodils not far behind. Spring's here as far as they're concerned. HopeHoops Feb 2012 #15
That sounds like a lot of work. Ruby Reason Mar 2012 #21
I sleep under it. Yes, I love that tree. The cherries aren't all that great, but the tree is. HopeHoops Mar 2012 #24
a whole month early for me stuntcat Mar 2012 #16

My wife just finished pruning back and raking the asparagus bed. It will be early this year. HopeHoops Mar 2012 #20
Asparagus is worth the effort. Ruby Reason Mar 2012 #22
There's not much effort anymore - just cut down the old growth and rake it out. HopeHoops Mar 2012 #25
Yes, it is either a fall effort or spring (or both), but worth it! Ruby Reason Mar 2012 #26
