26. I use a humane live trap with a door that closes, not a foot trap and yes, they go in the pond.

And no, I am not of your opinion that raccoons that are ganging up to attack my dog, kill my cats, or biting the heads off of baby ducks have a right to live more than these animals do. I will not allow my animals to be sacrificed and brutalized to a raccoon. When you witness an actual attack yourself, happening to YOUR animals, you may change your opinion.

If you want to see something REALLY sickening and vicious (and you have the stomach for it) do a Google search for raccoons killing dogs and cats.
