Most cats do not like the feel of it. Lots and lots of scratch posts particularly with sisal rope. Scratching boards for the floor. I know it is a vacuuming mess but there are scratchin boards with card board and some love it. I would never declaw any cat just as I would never dock a dogs tail or clip their ears.
