Gun Control & RKBA
In reply to the discussion: Foursome flaunts carrying assault weapons [View all]jimmy the one
(2,708 posts)I had written: "The people doing the shootings are people in good part associated with the open carry nuts, & are more prevalent by rate in progun states. "
donP replied: WTF are you blabbering on about. Neither city I cited allows open carry and both are strong Dem controlled cities... Sorry if news reports are "biased" in your view, but that's just the reality of it all.
It isn't the reality of what I'd written, you need to dictionary up 'associated' & retry, addressing what I actually contended, not what you spun it to be - a false premise.
I'm well aware that Chicago doesn't allow open carry & is democratic, indeed Chicago is the socialist capital of America; how do you like living in the socialist capital of America? wouldn't bother me, but does it bug you that so many socialists are about?
donP: Based on one of their many holy tenets, every gun owner must own at least 156 gun by now, most of them "assault weapons". And that always leads to more gun crimes, except when it doesn't.
This is ridiculous hyperbole, utter nonsense.
donP: ..Illinois.. There's only one reason to bother to get a FOID card, you intend to buy a new gun and ammo.
I'm sure there relatively some percent who get an FOID card but do not intend to buy a gun, just wanna have it in case they eventually do, or in case Illinois decides on stricter gun control in the future they'll be foided.
So you're quite wrong again. You came to ridicule, but ended up ridiculous.
donP: Funny, I haven't seen a single post from you {otohara} or your ilk about the 29 people shot in Chicago last weekend, mostly minorities, and pretty much every other weekend too.
Again you're flaunting Chicago's high shootings without putting them in perspective. With 2.5 million people that's roughly 1 shooting per 100,000 people.
I'll bet there were 2 shootings last weekend in plenty of progun cities with 200,000 people, like Richmond Virginia.
