(11,464 posts)The 5 bullets that were the ones that killed
JFK
RFK
MLK
JOHN LENNON
ALLARD LOWENSTEIN
among others were ones that killed not only the person the bullet entered, but the hopes and dreams and the optimism of hundreds of millions of people for decades worldwide
one bullet, look how much damage it did
to add to my comment on John Lennon above, John writhed in pain for a while, he did not die instantly, even though the bullet instantly killed any chance of his recovery.
John F. Kennedy in pain for a day, the nation for decades
Robert Kennedy in pain for hours, the nation forever
Martin Luther King foresaw his death and told the nation so
To me, the gun is like an extended family that hides someone after the black sheep does a crime and covers it up (like the 100s that covered up that awipe that killed with a gun, and with a bullet, that kind, gentle, meek doctor in Kansas, and singlehandedly stopped in Kansas a woman's right to her own body and privacy. To me, all were as guilty as the shooter who either backed or covered up that dude awipe.)
To me, that would make everyone else who has defended the killer, which was directly the gun and the bullet, part of the coverup team.
Adolf Hitler was the head of the Nazi's, and had a few higher ups under him delegate power.
How many regular German's obeyed those orders? And thankfully, the Nazi hunters over the years, to this day, even if the perps are now 90, have brought to justice thousands and thousands of Nazi's for their aiding and abetting the murderers.
It is too bad the USA does not do the same.
Maybe someone should start a slogan- a gun may be legal, but anyone using a bullet on a human being is doing something illegal and immoral, no matter which way it is spun.
And it should double down to any person in authority that is found to have abused their power and hurt or killed someone
(like say Danzinger Bridge after Katrina when blacks were lynched as if it were the 1850s again.)
and I bet there are millions of ex-soldiers, army, marines, etc. that after seeing what they did on the battlefield, would never in a zillion years pick up another weapon again.
Especially against a poor innocent beautiful deer.
One day hopefully we can have enough better security to make any and all guns stick out like a person in a movie theatre now smoking a cigarette-and something being done about it before one enters the theatre , or someone enters any block in America.
Would rather have more cameras than more guns.
In what type of insane society does one want to have a concealed gun in a bar, where people in general go there to get stupid(or are they already stupid wasting their money sitting in a bar in the first place?) get drunk, argue who is better Joe Namath or the awipe Tim Tebow and then shoot the other person with that gun they brought into the bar?
tell me again, when exactly did a gun ever save anyone or anything?
Never.
because the one thing the NRA talking point people never remember is- the stats they trot out faster than Paul Ryan covering up Mitt Romney making another boner don't tell you how many of those situations would have been difused by a bigger man(woman) just walking away.
(and in reverse, how many situations occur where say a father kills his kid in the middle of the night because the kid is peeping in a window next door with a mask on as happened the other night, one has to laugh and laugh at that irony if not for the fact that the mother is now childless and in mental anguish over the stupidness of that bozo and his gun and bullet).
It takes a coward like the a-wipe not named by me who in the back shot John Lennon and no way in the world John Lennon would have shot him in cold blood.
the moronic lie that everyone should be armed is just ridiculously comic book said by six year olds playing cowboys and indians (and of course those people were taught that indians were bad(learning racism right from the first grade, ironic isn't it.
Indians=good
Cowboys=bad
remember the indians did not come here looking to rid the new land of the cowboys did they?
and the major irony is= guns give power, yet gun lovers hate it if someone in power wants to better control the situation that has gotten out of hand.
What a bunch of hypocrites.
If it were me, the federal government should be the only one to sell a gun, and there should be NO independent gun sellers in America, and NO weapon of mass destruction should be sold at a show or on any street in America.
I mean really, would you go to a Sci-Fi show and get a REAL version of a killing prop from Star Wars?
one should not be able to buy a gun at a show, or have a gun dealer who really is in business to backdoor as many guns a week as he/she can as that is he/she's job to make money and any hinderance means less soup in the bowl.
No, I would trust the esteemed Eric Holder and the justice department to be the only ones allowed to sell a gun. (May Eric Holder become a member of the US Supreme Court in 2017 and help change the laws)
and have some great control over this.
You wouldn't walk into a store with some idiot behind the counter selling you a nuclear bomb would you? Yet in America that occurs every single day doesn't it?
Something is wrong where the seller needs the money from the buyer and checks be damned, the checks now stop a seller from making the money needed for the sellers family. That is some warpingly weird way of doing things. Can't we train that person to do something a little more better? I mean a 16 year old can't get a beer without major proof, yet Dylan and Eric were able to shoot up a school. What the hell is wrong with America?(and the radical extremists wanted every other student to have a gun to protect themselves?)
What the hell is wrong with that picture.
Hilight magazine had more sane photos in their find 8 things wrong with the picture puzzles than some people's mindframe on guns.
and guns lead to the same result, if one honestly thinks about it.
Rest in peace, and always faithful and true to Trey Martin. shot dead in cold blood after being stalked with zero weapon in his hands.
and, by the way, isn't about time to give a pardon to Joanne C.? She has been persecuted for far, far, far, far, far too long. A political prisoner. Wipe her record clean.
and by the way, bullies stick together, and putting a gun in a bullies hand is like sooooo audacious, don't you think? (and the NRA is a bully pulpit looking to do just that.)
Peace.(but of course throughout history, men of peace are shot dead because, those people scare those who do not want peace and become paranoid that someone will take their war machine(big or little) away from their hands, and it appears, without that in their hands, they do not feel whole.
as Charlie Brown would say GOOD GRIEF.
