As a 50-something white woman, I've never worried when a cop pulled me over on the road.
I've never had an employee follow me around in a store.
No one crossed to the other side of the street when they saw me walking toward them.
I wasn't refused a job because of the color of my skin.
I didn't worry that a landlord wouldn't rent to me.
That's what white supremacy means, and I'm sure I've barely scratched the surface.
The truth is that I'm basically clueless about the experience of living black in America. And I'm not insulted when someone points that out to me.
