but if the area is highly charged, one would have to wonder why I'd see it only once

in the course of a lifetime which included thousands, if not tens of thousands, of additional

exposures to that intersection.

As for the vehemence of my sister's denial, it may be odd, but that is what happened.

and yes, I'd already concluded it, along with her memory loss, as part of her coping strategy.
