1. It's possible

If there isn’t light, there’s signs of tectonic activity. Where there’s tectonic activity, there’s heat. And where there’s heat and organic molecules and liquid water, there’s the possibility of life.

Not the possibility of complex life forms like on Earth, but perhaps microbes.
