2. Why do people listen to this almanac ? 80% of last year predicted accurately ? I'm asking out of

ignorance . I used to see them at check out counters but never opened one up
Since 1792 so must be doing some correct predictions I guess
the article said 80% of last year’s almanac predictions were correct but are there years they are completely wrong does anyone know or what else do they publish ? Planting seasons ?
Do real farmers really go by these books?

This was NOAA last fall saying it would be mild in Chicago for winter 2018-19
The coldest temperature in Chicago in 34 years (-23°) was recorded on the morning of January 30, 2019 + stayed cold through spring . Not dry either .....
They do say only takes one storm to change everything seems we had a few cold snaps
